Best Recipe for Chicken Momos

Momo is a delicious dumpling dish that originated in Tibet but is also popular in other parts of the Himalayas, as well as in Nepal, Bhutan, and India. Here is a recipe for chicken momo, a popular variation of this dish:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pound ground chicken
  2. 1 onion, finely chopped
  3. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  4. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  6. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  9. 1 package of round dumpling wrappers

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin, coriander, and salt. Mix well until everything is well combined.
  • Take a small amount of the chicken mixture and place it in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
  • Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little bit of water and fold it over to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the dumpling.
  • Repeat the process until all the chicken mixture is used up.
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  • Place the momos in a steamer basket and place it over the boiling water.
  • Cover the pot and steam the momos for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • In a separate pan, heat up the vegetable oil.
  • Once the momos are cooked, remove them from the steamer basket and place them on a serving plate.
  • Pour the hot oil over the momos, and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tomato chutney or hot sauce.

Enjoy your delicious chicken momo!
